Job Description
As an Urban Planner, you will be responsible for designing and developing comprehensive plans and programs for land use in urban areas. You will work closely with government officials, developers, and the public to ensure the development of sustainable and functional urban spaces. Your role will include:

Conducting research and analysis on economic, environmental, and social trends affecting land use.

Developing long-term plans and strategies for the development and revitalization of urban areas.

Preparing detailed plans for land use, including zoning, transportation, utilities, and community facilities.

Collaborating with architects, engineers, and developers to ensure compliance with regulations and alignment with the overall vision.

Engaging with the community and stakeholders to gather input and ensure plans meet their needs and expectations.

Reviewing and approving development proposals and site plans.

Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in urban planning and sustainable development.
Qualifications

Proven experience as an Urban Planner or similar role.

Strong knowledge of urban planning principles, practices, and regulations.

Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and other planning-related software.

Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Professional certification (e.g., AICP) is a plus.

Familiarity with Dubai's urban landscape and regulations is highly desirable.
